The Createry launch party: a recap

On June 23rd 2023, we opened the doors to The Createry for our launch party! After months of hard work behind the scenes, it was wonderful to see the space full with people. We got to show them everything we have to offer, from our coworking space to specialist content creation studios.

Guests were invited to tour the ground and first floors or wander at their own pace and take photos and videos of all the different rooms and areas – a great way to get a feel for what’s available and to be able to take it all in more leisurely after.

We invited some of our favourite local Nottingham businesses, including Handmade Nottingham and Ex-Display Furniture, customers from our sister company Lyrical Host, plus family and friends to come and see The Createry for the first time. In the end, we had people from all walks of life, professions, and a range of different places, including as far away as Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine.

The party was centered on our coworking floor, which has been designed not only as a creative and calm space for coworking, but as a multi-purpose events space. Seeing how it transformed from our daily workspace into the perfect place for a party was wonderful! There was food from Ugly Bread Bakery, with party platters of pasta, sandwiches, salads and fruit. We chose a selection of chocolates from Studio Chocolate, including designing our own special flavour for the occasion.

The party was livened up with fantastic entertainment from the lovely Jo Want of Hello Sunshine creating live doodle drawings of all the guests who wanted to take home a custom drawing. Live music from the wonderful Ells of Cobalt Fire playing guitar and singing really created the atmosphere among the buzz of conversation.

Spread across the bench desks at the back of the room were a bunch of before, during, and after photos to show the months of work put into transforming the space from generic office to creative playground. We wanted people to get a real feel for the difference we made to the building – despite there still being a few finishing touches left to do at that point!

People in the Createry

Party guests took home goody bags full of special limited edition Createry merchandise, including notebooks and other stationery, wildflower seeds in small drawstring bags, stickers, a zipped case, and more.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the people and businesses who helped us make the launch party happen and came along to support our opening. It was a very fun way to open The Createry and we’re so grateful to each and every person who showed up.
