Where is The Createry located?
We’re located at 4 Castle Quay, just off Castle Boulevard near Nottingham city centre (our postcode is NG7 1FW).
What times are you open?
Once you’re a registered member with door access, you can let yourself in any time between 7am and 11pm, Monday to Saturday.
Where can I park?
A limited number of our car parking spaces are available within Castle Quay, designated with a yellow cone and reserved parking signs for The Createry, and/or the number “4” on the ground. Please reserve a space through your account so we don’t overbook them. Members with accessibility needs are given first priority. Additional (paid) parking is available on Castle Boulevard.
How do I access The Createry?
For your first visit, we recommend booking a free tour via our How It Works page to understand and get the most out of the space. After you’ve registered, follow the steps in your welcome email. Need help/have questions? Just email hello@thecreatery.co
Can I bring my own refreshments?
You’re welcome to bring your own food and drink into the space. Please note that alcohol isn’t allowed outside of agreed and licensed private events.
Can I bring my dog?
Only registered guide dogs are allowed in the building.
Can I bring my kids?
Babies under 1 are permitted for newborn photography shoots; however unfortunately children between 1 and 15 are not allowed in The Createry without prior request and approval.
What is your smoking policy?
In line with our clean air policy, we don’t allow smoking or vaping within The Createry or within the close vicinity of the building. Please ensure that any guests you have are aware of this policy.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes, The Createry is covered by public liability insurance. If you’re a business owner or bringing any valuables to the space, please ensure you have any/all insurances needed.
Do I have to live in Nottingham to be a Createry member?
You don’t have to live in Nottingham to be a member; if you’re further afield, you may prefer our pay-as-you-go or semi-pay-as-you-go membership.
Membership questions
I have a friend who wants to join, do you have a referral program?
We’re working on an official referral program; in the meantime please ensure that your friend enters you as the referral when they sign up so we can treat you!
Why do I have to provide ID for an in-person membership?
To keep everything and everyone safe in our space, it’s important we know who’s around. This is also required in line with money laundering regulations in the case of virtual business addresses. Your details are only kept as needed by The Createry and are never sold or shared.
Can I bring my whole team/do you do corporate memberships?
Depending on the company and team size, it’s a definite possibility! Please email hello@thecreatery.co with details if you’re interested in this.
Can I change my membership plan?
Yes, absolutely – log in to your members’ area or email hello@thecreatery.co if you need help or have questions.
Can I rent a permanent desk?
At this time we’re not renting out specific desks, but it may be something we look into doing in the future if there’s demand.
Billing queries
Do your prices include VAT?
All prices include VAT. VAT is listed separately on your invoices if you need it for accounting purposes.
Why are your prices so much cheaper than other coworking places?
Our goal is to be affordable for people who create content as a hobby, for example for their own blog or YouTube channel. We want to lower the barrier to entry for people looking to get into photography, video, podcasting, starting their own business, running occasional classes, doing a side hustle, or similar.
We also wanted to create the kind of space we wish we’d had when we started our first business on a shoestring budget. Coworking and studio spaces are often an “if only,” and we want to change that.
We keep costs down by offering shared work spaces, using our own integrations rather than coworking software services, and utilising part of the building for our other business, Lyrical Host.

Will you help me start a blog/website?
We can help you get set up with a WordPress website; please book in a session via your members’ area.
What kind of tech support do you provide?
Induction sessions are available to help you started with the photography and podcasting equipment in the space (if you need help beyond the basics, affordable paid sessions are available).
We also provide support for your Createry account, accessing the building, our digital downloads, and website. Other support is on an ad hoc, arranged basis through our events and teachers and other professionals in the space.
If you host your website/email with Lyrical Host and need tech support, please create a support ticket from your account as usual; we don’t provide in-person support for that at The Createry.
