We’re delighted to announce that we’re holding a whole bunch of free events across 2024! Since launching The Createry last year, one of our big goals is to create a community of like-minded people to have fun, solve challenges, and support each other in their work and lives. This is just one of the ways we’re planning to bring people together in Nottingham, so we’re excited to see how this goes.
Below is a full list of events we have planned for the year, plus answers to some common questions. If you have a question that’s not answered below, please drop us a message or email and we’ll get back to you ASAP!
Where are the events held?
All events are located at The Createry, 4 Castle Quay (off Castle Boulevard), NG7 1FW. Limited free parking is available (message or email us for details), or there are paid options along Castle Boulevard.
Please note that all events will be located up a flight of stairs; however we can move them to the ground floor if you need better accessibility – just let us know.
Can I bring a friend?

How do I book?
No need to book. Just turn up!
What’s the difference between a workshop and a meetup?
A workshop is where we’re doing something active (usually something craft-y!), and a meetup is more of a discussion.

January
Vision Board Workshop
Thursday 11th January 2024, 12-2pm
Kickstart your year by joining us at The Createry for a vision board workshop. In this two hour event, you’ll visually map out your goals. No dream is too big or small – all wild ideas are welcome. If you’re a photographer, you’re welcome to use this workshop to create a vision board prop to use in clients’ shoots.
Materials – including the boards – will be provided, but feel free to bring along any of your own extras you want to use (magazines, textiles, stickers etc).
If you’re in a position to contribute, we welcome donations of £5 (paid on the day by cash or card) to cover material costs.

Motivation Meetup
Feeling sluggish? New year motivation worn off? Join us at The Createry to refine your focus and get your head back in the game.
This casual meetup is a one-off round table event where we all discuss the challenges we have with motivation and ideas we’ve tried and tested for getting out of a slump.
By the end of the meetup, you’ll feel energised and ready to tackle your next big thing.

Tame Your Digital Clutter
With a limitless amount of cyberspace at our fingertips, it’s easy for files, photos, and downloads to get messy and out of control. In this meetup, we’ll all discuss strategies, tools and hacks we use to get (and keep!) on top of the clutter. Plus you can get started with your cleanup on your phone or laptop.

Craft & Creativity Workshop
Spend a casual lunchtime doing something fun. Bring something crafty or creative that you’re working on, or pick up a relaxing, beginner-friendly £5 or £10 kit on the day.

Planning Meetup
A super casual one-off meetup to plan your 2025 (blog, business, life, or all three!) and chat about your ideas. We’re a friendly bunch – everyone is welcome.
If you already have your own planner bring it along, or we have a Google Sheets template if you prefer digital planning. We have plenty of sticky notes, stickers, stencils, washi tape and highlighters to play with. Planners and notebooks are available to buy (<£10).
