welcome to the first floor of the createry
A Nottingham coworking space

If you get bored or distracted working from home, want people around you, or simply feel like a change of scene without breaking the bank, the Createry coworking floor may just be for you. Employees, the self-employed, hobbyists, and those escaping chaos at home are all welcome.

Choose how you want to work

The main coworking room is light, bright and caters for a range of different working styles. Choose from the big wraparound bench desk, traditional group table working, sitting at the bar, or chilling out in the sofa area.

Fun, but like productive fun

The Createry is a place to get things done differently, so there’s a balance between socialising and work. It falls in a happy middle ground that evades the extremes of both briefcase corporate culture and startup dudebro culture.

This means the best of both worlds – achieving things, but having fun doing them. It’s a happy productivity that’s backed by the calming aesthetic of the surroundings (and the occasional quack from a duck outside).

Pick your style

All coworking spaces have easy access to power sockets and comfy seating, but what you choose beyond that is up to you.

Distraction-free

Choose the “get your head down” wraparound bench desk coupled with fully adjustable ergonomic Slouch desk chairs. Put your phone in a wall holder to stop unproductive scrolling, and set your space up however suits you best.

With a side of social

Love to chat? Make your base the communal wooden table and retro style full backed chairs, or head to the bar area for chunky velvet stools with good foot rests and back support. It's ideal for informal impromptu meetings or communal working.

Just like home

Kick off your shoes and enjoy the comfortable sofa or armchair. Flick through a book in your break, or pull up the laptop stand and get stuff done. This chillout area is a customisable space (pick from rugs, cushions, frames and props) for photo shoots.
mix & match spaces

Build your workflow

Mix and match different areas and spaces in The Createry to create the workflow you need.

For example, you can book the meeting room for a briefing with a client, then take them to the photography or podcast studios, and finish by going up to the coworking floor to edit. You leave the Createry satisfied that everything is done, ready to relax at home.

Or maybe your workflow just sits within the coworking floor itself - having a productive hour at the bench desks before moving to a casual meeting at the bar, and wrapping up with a chilled out lunch on the sofa.

Maybe your work day is your day job at your desk, and then when 5pm hits you pack up and head downstairs to do flatlays or selfies for your own Instagram. It’s completely up to you how you use the spaces and when.

Lighten the load

Tired of lugging around a million things? Dog ate your USB cable? Don’t worry, we’ve got you.

Anyone using the coworking space has access to:

  • USB plugs and power cables for iOS (old and new Apple devices) and Android.
  • Mice, keyboards and large desk/mouse mats.
  • Basic stationery (e.g. pens, scissors, tape, paper clips, sticky notes).

As an optional paid extra, add a laptop/tablet storage locker with USB and mains socket power. It’s ideal for locking your valuables away during your breaks (please note that valuables left are at your own risk).

Book corner

The chillout area of the coworking space features a small collection of our favourite books.

They cover all kinds of categories, from flick-through coffee table casuals to graphic novels to serious advice on business, social media, mindset, and more.

You’re welcome to enjoy the books in the space, but please don’t remove them from the Createry.

Customising for photography

The coworking floor can also be used informally for selfies, brand shoots, and detail shots. (If you're a professional photographer using the space for clients, please note that the rate is the same as our photography studio).

Simply switching out the props and accessories in the space and using different filters or presets means you can create all kinds of looks; some examples are shown below.

A bit more about the floor

The coworking floor also features a shower room (shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided, but bring your own towel) and a separate jungle-themed toilet.

The main coworking room is located on the first floor of the Createry. If you’re unable to use the stairs, the ground floor meeting room can be booked as a small coworking space instead, and automatically becomes a silent coworking space open to all Createry members between 6:30pm-9pm Monday to Wednesday).
